Water helps you along at, during and after Carnival too!

Carnival is a festival traditionally held in Roman Catholic and, to a lesser extent, Eastern Orthodox societies. Protestant areas usually do not have carnival celebrations or have modified traditions.
Carnival typically involves a public celebration or parade combining some elements of a circus, mask and public street party and  marks an overturning of daily life.

While feasting , it can happen that alcohol intake will influence the physical state too much  and the next morning you awake with a hang-over.
There’s no official remedy for an hang-over but I received tips that the the following will help you to get along.

Breakfast:
Lots and lots of water.
Toasted bread and honey.
Boiled egg with a pinch of salt (helps your energy level)
Camomille tea (to calm your stomach)
Kiwi  ( the sugars activate digestion of alcohol)

Lunch:
Water
Chicken soup with noodles
Gherkins and smoked meat
Appel

Dinner:
Water
Salade with smoked salmon and leguminous
Asperges with smoked ham
Multigrain bread with pesto or pate

Alaaf, alaaf, alaaf!!!
(Dutch carnival greeting)
